Francophone
Language Group

The AMMnet Francophone Language Group connects French-speaking members to share knowledge, access resources, and actively engage in the network. Co-led by Dr. Abdourahamane Diallo (Guinea) and Dr. Carmène Ngadjeu (Cameroon), the group fosters collaboration and creates opportunities for learning and participation.
Members take part in a wide range of activities—regular meetings, webinars, trainings, and workshops—many of which are available on the AMMnet YouTube channel. An active WhatsApp group also provides space for timely updates and peer-to-peer exchange. The group works closely with AMMnet committees and contributes to the network’s annual meetings.
To better serve members, the Francophone group is organized into three subcommittees:
- Local Chapters Support – strengthens Francophone chapters through organization and networking
- Virtual Events – develops and delivers online seminars, hackathons, and trainings tailored to Francophone members.
- Representation & Global Engagement – ensures Francophone voices are represented in AMMnet’s global strategies and initiatives.
Since its creation, the group has hosted numerous virtual seminars on malaria modeling, supported the development of local chapters, and organized scientific workshops and symposia.
If you’d like to join the Francophone group or contribute to a subcommittee, please contact info@ammnet.org and the Secretariat will connect you.

Lusophone
Language Group

The AMMnet Lusophone group was created to break down language barriers and allow members coming from Portuguese-speaking malaria endemic countries to access resources and share knowledge and experience.
The group also supports the establishment and operation of local chapters in AMMnet Lusophone countries and is planning to organize workshops, conferences and scientific activities on malaria modelling soon.
The group is in its early stages of development and currently has 65 members and a WhatsApp group. Leading the development of the Lusophone group is Dr. Baltazar Cá from Guinea-Bissau.
If you’d like to join the AMMnet Lusophone group and become more actively involved, send an email to info@ammnet.org and the Secretariat will connect you.

Asia-Pacific

The AMMnet Asia-Pacific group provides opportunities for members who are geographically located in Asia-Pacific time zones with an interest in applied malaria modeling to connect with each other and share knowledge and exchange experiences.
Established in 2025, the Asia-Pacific group will launch activities that bring the geographically diverse network together. If you are interested in contributing to the growth of this newly founded group or you’d like to be added to the email list, please contact the Secretariat at info@AMMnet.org and they will connect you.
