Dr Cissoko is a public health physician with a PhD in epidemiology, and is in charge of malaria research at the Programme National de Lutte contre le Paludisme (PNLP) in Mali. For this session, Dr Mady Cissoko led a practical session on “Detecting spatial clusters of malaria using SaTScan software in Mali”. SaTScan is a powerful software package that analyzes spatio-temporal data using spatial, temporal or spatio-temporal scan statistics.
